Priscilla, Lisa, and John Travolta
The other day I stood in the supermarket checkout line and spotted the February 6 issue of the tabloid National Enquirer. Lisa Marie and John Travolta were side-by-side on the cover, just above the headline “Divorce Shocker: Whose marriage … Continue reading

Do We Really Need Elvis Barbie?
On September 15, Elvis.com/news featured an interview with the designer of the new Elvis Barbie doll. Maybe I missed something, but I never knew it was already on the market. Elvis Scrapbooks — Part 2
Last week we started a discussion on Elvis Scrapbooks and took a look at the first six pages of one I recently borrowed. 50s teenagers enjoyed compiling Elvis items in organized scrapbooks. It should come as no surprise to you that Col. Parker saw the fad for Elvis scrapbooks and marketed a few to meet this demand. Continue reading
Elvis Scrapbooks — Part 1
Throughout his life, Elvis’ adoring fans expressed their devotion by attending his concerts, buying his records, joining fan clubs, and keeping Elvis scrapbooks. Continue reading
ElvisBlog Mini-Nuggets #17
Elvis Beer Cans: In 2004, Miller Brewing Co. released a set of eight commemorative beer cans celebrating 50 years of rock music. Doing the math, that would mark the start of rock and roll in 1954, and we all … Continue reading →
