Actually, we will start with two you have seen before. This appeared in Part 7 of the series back on August 11. Alert readers Delores, Jo, and Leon’a all quickly posted on Comments that it was Photoshopped. However, this week I heard from reader Paul, and he included a link to the original.
This is Warren Beatty in a clip from the 1975 movie Shampoo. Thank you, Paul.
I like receiving your comments on Elvis photos, especially when you include a link to the originals before they are Photoshopped, so keep them coming.
This one posted on Part 1 of the series last January, and a week later I posted that three readers had informed me it was not Elvis, just an Elvis Tribute Artist. Nobody said how they knew, but it sounded reasonable, and I acknowledged their opinions.
Well, last week I found that picture again on Pinterest, as well as this:
The woman who posted it added this comment: Very, Very Nice !!!!! But a guy named Rocker Man replied: Not Elvis. So, I don’t know what to believe.
That Pinterest board had other photos along the same lines, but this one really topped them all.
People do some strange things with Elvis photos. They should be happy with the real photos of Elvis, like this one of him playing football:
Let’s move on to another topic. Lately, there have been some new photos of Elvis eating.
This is almost certainly Memphis-style barbequed ribs. Once during Elvis Week, a group of us went to Marlowe’s Restaurant, and I had their ribs. They were great. Because Marlowe’s is just a few blocks down the street from Graceland, it might be a good bet this is their ribs Elvis is munching on.
This is Elvis eating lunch in 1956 during a break in the filming his first movie, “Love Me Tender.”
I love Elvis’ eyes on this It looks like something is going on to his left, and he is wary about it.
Speaking of Marlowe’s Restaurant, look what’s on their website:
Ladies’ Elvis Jumpsuit Pajamas. Outstanding idea. $36. I’ve never seen them anywhere else. Let me know if you have.
Can you guess what this is? Here’s a big clue.
There it is on Priscilla’s head as she and Elvis celebrate their marriage on May 1, 1967,
And she also wore it at their second wedding reception in Memphis four weeks later. In her book, Elvis and Me, Priscilla said “We threw a big reception at Graceland for all our friends and relatives.” The italics were provided by Priscilla, to indicate she and Elvis were not happy with way some of the folks in their circle were excluded from the wedding ceremony.
In 2010 I posted an article called Elvis’ Wedding Reception Redo about this event. Click here to take a look.
This is a photo with a caption, Gladys and Vernon Presley on their wedding day. They married on June 17, 1933 when Gladys was 19 and Vernon was 17. Gladys looks pretty, doesn’t she?
This photo shows up on the internet occasionally with the tag Vernon and Gladys’ Wedding Picture, but that is disputed because Vernon does not look like a seventeen-year-old.
OK you Photoshop sleuths out there. Is this a phony? I think I’ve seen Priscilla in that net hat somewhere before. I wish it was real, because there are only a few photos out there of Elvis’ upstairs office off the bedroom.
Editor’s Note: It took only a few hours before super sleuth reader Jo sent me two of the original pictures used to make the above Photoshopped one.
The photoshop jockey even changed the photo on Elvis’ desk.
When I found this photo and read the caption, I remembered two of the names were people who had written a book about Elvis that I really enjoyed.
If you want to read about Elvis as a youngster, written by people who actually shared those times with him, you should get this book. It has stuff in it you haven’t read in any of the other biographies.
We will close with some iconic shots of Elvis and his fans. The first was shot in 1955. It’s pretty amazing the attraction Elvis had with the girls.
And he still had it twenty years later.

Hi Phil,
I think these people that continue to photo crop pictures of Elvis have realized they can create these themselves easily by using some of these modern apps available thus making them feel noticed.
These people probably have been a ‘O’ all their lives. All of us probably know someone like this or have one in our own family. I have a 1st cousin myself. We call him “USELESS”. LOL
Regards
Billy Martin
Thank you, Billy.

Hey Phil: Upon close inspection, the truck is a Mack. Not a White. It is still a cool photo though.
Hi Gerard: Ok, we’ll call it a Mack Truck.
Phil
Hello Phil: Wow, love the picture of Elvis sitting on the side of Truck No.6 belonging to 20th Century Fox. I have seen a lot of Elvis pictures in my time, but I can honestly say that I have never seen that one. Not only am I an Elvis enthusiast, I am also an old truck enthusiast. The truck appears to be a White (White Motor Company, Cleveland, Ohio), but I could be wrong. It looks like it says “White” on the cowling on the front. I actually have a 1947 “White” truck that looks similar to this. Very cool photo.
Hi Gerard: You’re an old truck enthusiast. Interesting. I don’t think I ever heard of White trucks, but I’ll go with your determination.

Few years ago when visited Memphis, they had a gift shop and they had the American Eagle Hawaii jumpsuit in pajamas for sale. I didn’t get them so sorry no photos
Hi Jason: Another reader mentioned buying the jumpsuit pajamas in Memphis, but she said they fit terribly. Be happy you didn’t buy any.

The pic supposedly of Elvis and Priscilla in E’s office is unfortunately a photoshopped one. ** It is made up of two separate photos and I have pictures of them posted on my Pinterest board ‘Elvis Photoshopped/Fake or Mis-labelled pictures….. Beware!’ Pinterest is infested with ghastly photoshops and my board (and others) highlights many of them, most with originals.
Thanks for the original pic of Warren Beatty on a motorbike in frilly shirt’ with Elvis’ head photoshopped – I knew it was a fake but hadn’t found the original – till now!!
** How do I send you a pic of it?
I got your email with the original pictures, and I’ll add them to the post when I finish here.
Thanks, Phil
I bought a pair of the Elvis pjs at a shop on Beale Street. The pants were long enough for someone on stilts and the top was tiny! They must have been made for a 22-year old Linda Thompson!
I hope the picture of Priscilla and Elvis in his office is a real one because it’s awfully cute. Also, there is a picture of Lisa Marie on the desk.
Hi Sharys. Interesting story about the jumpsuit pajamas. Sorry, but another reader sent in the original photos used to make the Photoshopped desk picture, and I’ll add them to the post after I finish here in Comments.
