Did you know that April 26 is National Pretzel Day? I didn’t, until I saw it on the news this morning, and that worked out well for me.
I’ve been putting together a new post that has come along much slower than expected, pushing its posting beyond this weekend. I needed something to plug the gap, and a quick Google search provided a few connections between Elvis and pretzels.
There have been all sorts of food items capitalizing on Elvis’ popularity, including Bar-B-Q sauce, hot chocolate, candy, and wine. The above tin contains frosted pretzels, although the website did not include a photo of them.
Same thing here – frosted pretzels in a guitar-shaped tin, and no picture of them.
I used to think the worst hair on an Elvis picture was the little green leaves that grew on Chia Elvis, but pretzel hair is equally bad.
And someone has drawn a pretzel Elvis. I can’t figure out why they went with a blue pretzel.
I had to change my Google search to pretzel Elvis, rather than Elvis pretzel. That one brought up a tribute artist named Elvis Pretzel. I’ll spare you the picture of him.
