What Will the 2020 Candlelight Vigil Look Like?

Candlelight Vigil

Three months from now, will Memphis require all the fans to wear masks and stay six feet apart?

I wonder if masks still work when they’re soaked with tears.

We live in a strange time.  Let’s hope the health experts have this Covid 19 thing resolved by August 16.

Hopefully we won’t need the masks by then, but if so it shouldn’t be a big deal. The fans will be alright. People need to get out again especially to remember a good man like Elvis.

Hi Phil! Hope you are fine, despite The Virus!

I have just calculated that if 50,000 fans wait in line six feet apart (1m80), the line would stretch all the way to Tupelo (which is about 100 km away)!!

    • Hi. I had to edit your comment for brevity, and I don’t want these comments to spark a back-and-forth between readers of differing opinions. Just want to keep it friendly.

      Thanks for commenting.

  4. Unfortunately it won’t be resolved until there’s a vaccine. I can’t even imagine getting on a plane now, closed in with recycled air. That’s taking a crazy risk.

    • Hi Katgirlblue: You make a good point. I would imagine that fans going to Elvis Week this year will mostly be those who can drive there.
